On the 30th of July your Volunteer Marine Fire and Rescue members were called upon to respond to reports of two distressed swimmers in the water who had been spotted by one of the Potomac Taxi Captains. Fireboat 57 responded promptly with a crew of 3 personnel. While enroute to the incident the distressed swimmers were pulled from the water by good samaritans aboard the Potomac Taxi which reported the incident. They were then brought to EMS resources and treated appropriately.
