About Us

The Prince George’s County Volunteer Marine Fire and Rescue Department, INC.  is comprised of citizens from the Washington Metropolitan area and beyond. We give back to the community to preserve and protect life and property from our stations at Ft. Washington and Brandywine Maryland. 

​Our Volunteer Marine Fire and Rescue Department offers a friendly environment for you to discover your capabilities and make the most of your volunteering experience. We provide comprehensive firefighting, emergency medical and specialized rescue training for both land and water.

​Our mission is to provide water rescue and recovery to citizens of Prince George’s County and as well as neighboring jurisdictions via mutual aid agreements. The Prince George’s County Volunteer Marine Fire and Rescue Department assist other agencies with special disciplines in the areas of underwater investigation, SCUBA dives, and watercraft assistance. As well as providing emergency medical services to the citizens of the county.
