Potomac Clean Up

Today your Prince George’s County Volunteer Marine Fire and Rescue volunteers took a three-hour chunk of time out of their shift schedule after conducting fire boat operations training in order to participate in the Potomac Clean Up project. Our volunteers spread across the shores of the Potomac River off of the edges of the Fort Washington community in order to pick up litter and plastic wastes. Approximately 10 pounds of waste was cleared from the shores of the river due to the commitment of today's crew to the environment and the community.
